The place was closing and we'd been there only about ten minutes at this point. We misunderstood this to mean that new, fresh food would soon appear but were corrected. She asked if we'd gotten everything we wanted from the buffet because the staff were soon going begin pulling the buffet. Nothing looked particularly fresh, but we grabbed some plates and no sooner than we did than the waitress came over. Gravies and soups sat congealed and lackluster, looking like they'd been there for days. The selections were poor and appeared to be sitting for a while.
Hungry and not willing to walk all the way back to the cars, we agreed to the price and headed to the buffet. We were not there on either of those days and we were informed that the price was almost double. First, there was a very teaser price listed, but only for Monday and Tuesdays. We chose the Rainbow and were extremely disappointed by the restaurant, the Riverview Buffet. My husband and I are travelling from Tennessee to relocate to Texas so when we saw the signs for the hotel and casino he suggested we stop, have lunch and maybe drop a few pennies in the slots.
